Inside and Outside Circle ( January, 31, 2007)This is one of Best Practice strategy in teaching argumentative speaking. I try to motivate my students by bringing them out of class and let them speak freely to communicate each other. I teach in big class with 48 students. I divide them into two groups. Each group consists of 24 students who are divided to two groups. One is inside and the other is in outside.
In order the outside students pay attention to their friends, I give task to every tudents as
observer. They have a task to observe their friends differently. Every student has to focus in his/her task while students who are in inside are busy speaking and giving their arguments. It works well.

I also practice best practice in making rubric in my class. Finally they make performance in story telling. It works well because the students know the rule exactly in what they have to do for having an excellent mark.
I have implemented some best practices that I had from East West Center that made me teach in various methods and strategies. I am so happy to know that my students look happier in studying English.
